Dear Homestead Families,

It is an incredible privilege to serve as the Principal of Homestead School and to welcome you to our school community. Homestead is a truly special place—one where our youngest learners are known, cared for, challenged, and celebrated each day.

Throughout this summer, I have had the opportunity to spend time listening and learning from our teachers, staff, families, district leaders, and members of the Homestead community. One thing has been clear in every conversation: Homestead is a school grounded in relationships and a deep commitment to children. There is a genuine sense of warmth and community here, and I am excited to build upon that strong foundation together.

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, our focus will remain on creating joyful, engaging learning experiences while continuing to strengthen the systems and practices that support every child. We will work collaboratively to provide strong and consistent instruction, responsive support for our learners, clear communication with families, and opportunities for children to develop confidence, independence, perseverance, and a true love of learning.

At the primary level, the little moments matter. A warm greeting in the morning, discovering a new book, solving a challenging problem, making a new friend, learning to navigate the school independently, or proudly accomplishing something for the very first time all help shape how children see themselves as learners. Our goal is to ensure that Homestead is a place where children feel safe taking risks, excited to learn, and proud to belong.

I believe our strongest work happens when schools and families work together. I look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships with our families and creating opportunities for you to feel connected to the learning, celebrations, and experiences happening throughout our school.

I am incredibly excited for all that lies ahead for Homestead. Together, we will honor the traditions and relationships that make our school so special while continuing to grow, strengthen, and create the very best experience for our littlest learners.
